WHAT WE COLLECT
When you create an account we store your username, email address, and a hashed version of your password. We never store your password in readable form.
As you use Debate-Z we also store the topics you pick as interests, your avatar and profile frame, your progression (XP, level, coins, and badges), your debate record (debates played, debates won, win streaks, and total time spent debating), and the country you optionally set on your profile.
HOW WE USE IT
Your data runs the product: matching you with opponents near your skill level, scoring debates, awarding XP and badges, and showing your standing on the leaderboard. We also record when you were last active so opponents can see who is online. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
WHAT OTHERS CAN SEE
Your username, avatar, level, and debate record are visible to people you debate. Your email address is never shown to other users. You can remove yourself from the public leaderboard at any time from Settings.
YOUR CONTROLS
You can edit or clear your profile details, interests, and leaderboard visibility from Settings. If you want your account and its associated data deleted, contact us and we will remove it.
COOKIES
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. It is required for the site to work and is not used for tracking you across other sites.
